Boitata, the Fire Snake

Rain drowns the world in a night that will not end, and a great sleeping serpent wakes to swallow the last drifting sparks of light. She becomes Boitata, Brazil's gentle fire snake, who guards the forest and keeps her lamp lit all night long.
